Proven in history
It can bind us
It can blind us

Love is a root of evil
Fuelling jealousy of a rival
Love is like a healing salve
Soothing wounds like a paste of love

I believe, that love can heal
It is an ideal that can be real
Love can heal the world
Believe me, love is the word

Make us forget the pain
Like dust washed away by the rain
It can let us see the light
Understand each other’s right

If only we have faith in love
We can bring this world above
Hate, anger and vengeance
To witness the emergence
Of a world with no war or animosity
Of a people living in harmony

In this ugly world we live in
Power and prestige is all that matter
I find myself giving in
Unable to shy away from inevitable battle
The fight to be the best
For money and power to reach the top
Not a single moment of rest
Lest my rivals bring me down from the top

How many feet do we need to trample on
Just so that we can get what we want
Others misery that we build our success upon
Is this the life that I truly want?
The answer doesn’t matter at all
The society doesn’t give us many choices
I only know that I must not fall
Cos if I do my life will shatter into a million pieces

I’ve learnt to lose my innocence
To stop believing that I can change the world
I know now that all is just nonsense
Unless I can win the respect of the world
Only then would I have the power
And command solid influence
Only then would my words matter
And make a world of a difference

From the seeds of our friendship

I still find it quite unbelievable
That we failed to see this love
Despite the time we spend together

A new year lies ahead of me
Full of surprises that could be
Once again I stand tall
Recovered from my fall
I have learnt a valuable lesson
Love is not just possession
Letting go is another kind of love
Maybe it’s decided by the man above

You are so cold and detached
That it makes me really dejected
After all those times we stood together
Now we’re just two strangers
The things I still try to lend a helping hand
And make it a point to do what I can
You don’t show any appreciation
Only a look of exasperation

I have decided to stop making myself feel sad
Why let someone who does nothing make me feel bad
There are so many others who keep trying to make me smile
I should cheer up and make their effort worth the extra mile
To all the friends who stood by me
I’m proud to finally let you see
I have found my feet once again
And a new chapter in my life begins

My deepest gratitude to all that you have done
Knowing you all has been a hell load of fun
Once again my smile comes unbidden
As I embrace the happiness that I forsaken

It is the same old brand new me
As happy as I used to be
But now I know something that will brighten up my days

Ran into a wall

I used to think that love prevails over any obstacle
Now I have become very sceptical
As beautiful as love can be
The ability to make it last escapes me
I did all I could
Maybe more than I should
I gave you my all
Yet I ran into a wall
I tried giving more
To change things to what they were before
The more I try to give
The more you want to leave
So now I just try to disappear
Learning to suppress my fear
A ghost of me that watches from a distance
Going with the flow of destiny and provide no resistance
To its might and power but let it wash me along
With a glimmer of hope that it will take me to where you belong
A paradise where you and I reunite once more
A silly dream I hold close to my heart’s core
Letting go is never easy
Both for you and for me
Destiny might have seen this long ago
Maybe separation will make us come to know
The importance of cherishing each other
And the true value of being together

A new year, a new start
A new room, but the same old life
Haunted by the memory
Reliving all the misery
An uncontrolled sob led to a torrential rain
A brief glimpse of the immense pain
I have to learn to firm my resolve
Avoid thoughts that will make my strength dissolve
Push away the longing
Shut out the yearning
Forget reconciliation
Accept the situation
Take on a new direction
Let go of the past and affliction
Hold on to the love that felt so true
And if fate has it we’ll start anew

I know you’re hurting
Just as I’m suffering
We cause pain for one another
Yet we know it’s unintentional
I just hope that our time apart
Can help us both heal our hearts
And ready them for a brand new start
